Chicago Athletic Association Hotel
Located on Michigan Avenue across from Millennium Park, the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel is a spectacular blend of modern glam mixed with subtle nods to its historic place as an athletic club. The chic ballrooms are gorgeous for weddings and plenty of spots for photos within the hotel from the grand lobby to the game room.
The historic red brick building sits in the heart of Lincoln Park overlooking the south pond. Cafe Brauer offers gorgeous views and a charming ballroom. Guests can enjoy the beautiful park views during cocktail hour from the large balconies on either side.
I’ve shot many weddings at Galleria Marchetti and every one looks unique. The gorgeous space lends itself well to your creativity and how you choose to dress it up. There are a lot of fun amenities, including the large courtyard perfect for cocktail hour, the retractable roof in the pavilion and a glass fire pit perfect for warming up in the winter or toasting s’mores.
Chicago History Museum
The majestic staircase of this beautiful Georgian-style building is only part of the attraction of this classic Chicago wedding venue. With a vintage black and white checkered dance floor, the Chicago room is a gorgeous space for dining and dancing.
South Shore Cultural Center
Not to name drop, but this is the Chicago wedding venue where Barack and Michelle were married. The bright solarium with its large windows and majestic chandelier is the perfect spot for the ceremony.
This uniquely urban venue is actually a warehouse for expensive vintage furniture. With its large loft space and courtyard, there are many options for the ceremony and reception.
University Club of Chicago
The stone walls and ornate stained glass windows make the cathedral room at the University Club of Chicago feel like you’re in a historic castle. In addition to the ballroom, the venue has many gorgeous photo spots and you can walk across the street to Millennium Park for some greenery photos.
Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the dramatic staircase of the Rookery Building makes for stunning wedding photos! The reception space for a Rookery Building wedding is light bright and gorgeous.
Bridgeport Art Center
With it’s dramatic lined chandeliers, brick facade and open windows, the entrance to the art center is perfect for a ceremony or simply gorgeous wedding photos! The large loft venue has separate space for the ceremony/reception and cocktail hour.
Promontory Point is a hidden wedding venue gem in Chicago. With the Lake Michigan waves crashing onto the rocks, it feels more like you are on an island. Guests can enjoy cocktails on the terrace before heading into the charming reception hall for dinner and dancing.
