Meredith + Michael’s summer Salvatore’s wedding had a few twists and turns to get them down the aisle. But they made it to the alter to exchange their sweet I do’s.
Their wedding day started with a little haze, excitement and love. Meredith got ready for her big day with her family and closest friends at the Westin Michigan Avenue.
Mike saw his beautiful bride for the first time at the Lilly Pool in Lincoln Park. The clouds loomed overhead, but we were able to get some photos before the raindrops started to fall. Mike looked so handsome in his blue suite while Meredith looked radiant in her vintage looking lace dress. As we headed to North Avenue for some more photos, the rain started to drizzle. Desperate to get the skyline photos the couple wanted, I directed the bus driver to cruise through the zoo parking lot to get to North Avenue quickly. Unfortunately, that was a terrible idea.
“When I think ahead to the future, you are at the center of all my hopes and dreams“
Because the rain started to pour as we drove through the zoo parking lot, everybody else decided to leave. We quickly were grid locked without any hope of driving through. We had to abandon the bus and their kind friend jumped in to save the bridal party by driving everyone person by person to Salvatore’s wedding venue. Needless to say, I will never make that suggestion again! Because the we weren’t able to go to North Avenue, Meredith + Mike did a mini shoot so they could get the photos they had their heart set on.
At their Salvatore’s wedding ceremony, Meredith and Mike said their I do’s in front of their family including their charming grandmothers! After their rainy adventure, the happy couple were ready to party!
