Planning the perfect North Avenue Beach proposal, Eric knew there was only one place he wanted to ask Kasey to marry him, her favorite spot along Chicago’s lakefront.

To keep the surprise intact, Kasey believed they were simply meeting for family photos. With her parents helping sell the story, we began taking photos near the shoreline with the Chicago skyline in the background. Everything was going according to plan, except for the weather. A thick layer of fog rolled in and nearly erased the skyline from view. Since the city backdrop held special meaning for Eric and Kasey, a little Photoshop magic was later used to bring the skyline back to life and create the images they had envisioned.

Once the surprise proposal unfolded, the excitement was just beginning. In a true whirlwind romance moment, the newly engaged couple packed their bags and headed off to Greece the very next day for a romantic getaway together.
