from China to Chicago

Leah + Keegan’s Lacuna Events wedding day was intimate and romantic from start to finish.

Their paths crossed many times before they officially met and fell in love. Originally both are from the San Francisco Bay area. Leah’s journey took her all the way to live in China for some time. Keegan had visited China, but they still did not meet. They finally met up in Chicago and the connection was instant.

The very first time I met with Leah & Keegan, it was obvious how much they adore each other. Their little glances to each other tell the story that they are so thrilled that they met each other. They want to spend every minute they can together. And they turn every routine into a romantic moment. Since they both take the L downtown together for work, they wanted their engagement photos on the L and all their favorite spots in their neighborhood.

With their moms teaming up at their Lacuna Events wedding to toast the happy couple, they both told fun stories about their childhoods. Leah dreamed of being an editor of a gourmet food magazine with three children and her husband was away at war. Keegan fell in love with watching birds at two years old. As an avid bird watcher, it’s noted a new bird sighting is called a fixer. Leah is Keegan’s lifelong fixer.

For one final romantic wedding day moment, the couple planned to take a long drive along Lake Shore Drive and sip champagne.
