Abby & Jake
Spring Sarabande wedding
Spring Sarabande Wedding
As teenagers, they met through part time jobs at a restaurant. Abby had “confidence and an unapproachable aura” that Jake found intoxicating. Thirteen years later, their bond has only strengthened as they grew up together. With the blessing of time, they’ve graduated college together, shared apartments and endured long distance. They became each other’s safety and happy place.
“I remember vividly, you in your dress, pony tail up and piercing blue eyes. You were filling the salad station one night when I got up the nerve to approach you.”

Getting ready at the Intercontinental Hotel on Michigan Avenue, Abby popped the champagne and shared some laughs with her sisters and mom. In her stunning lace dress, she was ready to see her groom.
Waiting down by the riverwalk, Jake was all smiles when he saw how beautiful Abby looked. The two shared familiar smiles. With overcast skies, we made our way around the city for romantic photos, starting at the Wrigley Building then on to the Art Institute Garden.
You make me feel valuable
At their spring Sarabande wedding ceremony, they exchanged sweet personal vows reflecting how much they love their low key life together. They are happy just being together whether it’s watching Pirates of the Caribbean on the sofa or grocery shopping. It’s the quieter moments in life that they cherish together.
With the sun peaking out from the clouds, it was the perfect golden hour moment for photos by the vintage Rolls Royce.
And then it was time to join the party and let the games begin! Because they wanted their guests to have a great time, they had games for them, including beer pong and corn hole.
