Kaitlyn & Andrew

KOREAN ROOKERY WEDDING WALDEN CHICAGO

Their beautiful Korean Rookery wedding day started out with sunshine and sweet moments. Dressed in traditional Korean wedding dress, Kaitlyn’s mom helped her into her white sheath dress. Kaitlyn looked absolutely elegant in her cathedral veil and subtle pearl accents. Keeping it cool, Andrew arrived to Walden just before the first look. In his spring taupe suite and emerald green tie, he couldn’t wait to see his bride.

Since Andrew is from New York and Kaitlyn is moving, they wanted some epic Chicago wedding photos. Going to the most iconic spots in the city, the first stop was the Wrigley Building. Andrew’s sweet sister helped out as the Uber driver for our photo stops. Next up, the stunning Frank Lloyd Wright staircase at the Rookery.

With all the spring colors of the traditional Korean wedding attire, the guests were gorgeous and added to the beauty of the day. Large floral arrangements decorated the cocktail hour space. The florals were gifts from family and friends to celebrate the day.

Their faith in Johovah is what brought Kaitlyn + Andrew together. It was important to the couple that they were married surrounded by their family and members of their church. After the ceremony, the couple wanted a photo with their church members and it was almost half of their wedding!

Andrew’s best man played MC for their reception, announcing in the happy couple. Since so many guests were from Korea, he had double duty making jokes in both English and Korean. Barely able to enjoy their wedding day meal, the couple made it a priority to talk with all of their guests who had traveled far to attend the wedding.

The surprises kept coming when the MC announced several special musical acts, including himself! Wow, can he sing! In addition to his talents, they had friends in a band who rocked the reception!
